  I cannot believe what has happened to this day. The older male owner hurt my dog because he said I was arguing with him. I could not and cannot believe what happened. Horrible. I took my 15 year old dog to this vet and he was insisting he muzzle her because he feared she might bite him. She is a Jack that is as sweet as can be and weighs all of 18 lbs. Loves everyone and only wants to kiss everyone. Never bit or snapped at anyone. I asked if I could just hold her and not muzzle her but he got mad at me and would not even take any time to talk about it. I agreed to allow him to gently put a muzzle on her but I wanted to help hold her. He said no way. If she bites you then you will sue me! I said she would never bite me or him and I would never sue him if she did. I told him the vet in Portland always let me help hold her as she was calmed by my holding her. He told me if I was going to argue with him then I had to leave the room. I said ok but to be gentle with the muzzle. While trying to get the muzzle on her he pulled the back of her neck so the skin was stretched way out and it was hurting her. I never seen anyone pull the neck skin so far out and it was awful to witness. I was begging him to stop and not hurt her. He got so mad at me and He yanked the muzzle off of her and pushed her onto the cement floor and said THIS IS NOT WORKING! I screamed out crying for him not to hurt her! Why did he push her off the table and hurt her? His technician who was also not very nice snapped at me HE DID NOT PUSH HER HE JUST GAVE HER A LITTLE SHOVE. How can a technician who is supposed to love dogs allow that to happen in her presence. Afraid if she did not turn an eye to it she might lose her job! I could never witness a dog being abused. I left crying and he came out after me saying he was sorry and we could try again! Are you kidding me. Sorry??? He has no self control. Violent. He was only embarrassed because he did not want anyone else in the waiting room to see I was crying and so worried he had hurt my dog by pushing her little arthritic body on the cement floor. I still am in shock. I ended up going to another vet in Wells called Post Road veterinarian on Post Road immediately after this and they are so so sweet and decent. Oh my goodness. The vet and her tech loved my baby and she loved them. She never had to muzzle her and she never snapped. I love this vet and I think what happened, in spite of it traumatizing both my baby and myself was for the best as they are true decent vets at Post Road. That owner abusive man at this vet hospital abused an elderly dog with kidney issues and dehydration!!!!
